My pregnancy: The maternity photo shoot
It brings me immense pleasure to share that I, along with 24 other bloggers are celebrating #9daysofwomanhood throughout Navratri. I thank Penelope Braganza for introducing me. I loved her blog on the prompt for today “my pregnancy”
Although there have been many beautiful memories of my pregnancy and I have documented all of them on my Instagram page, the fondest one is the maternity photo shoot .
The story behind the shoot is also an interesting one! We (actually me😅 )decided for our shoot only in the 9 th month and then the hunt began for the professional photographers.
We chanced upon utsavfxstudio instagram page and found out if they did maternity shoot. Although they had a lot of good experience in prewedding and candid photoshoot, they had not done any maternity shoot so far. So, we took a leap of faith.
I did all the required research, arranged for ALL the props and dresses, 😎😎and made an advance payment. Since it was VERY cold and rainy in kanpur in January, we waited for our perfect day. Finally, after two weeks of waiting, on a beautiful sunny and windy winter day, we got the entire shoot done. The photographer listened to all my ideas with a lot of patience and gave us a beautiful set of around 200 pics ! Hubby dearest was such a sport and participated in all my crazy antics, much to my surprise 😊😊
Most of these pictures are inspired by my research on Pinterest. So, here it is!
We prayed, and He answered!
I loved my peach dress here!
Yes, I named him Noddy the moment I knew that it’s a boy!
My favourite of the lot!
I stapled the sonogram to hubby’s pocket! 🙂
We gave the bump all the “limelight” it needed 😃
We borrowed the baby dresses and shoes from a friend for this
I call this our DDLJ moment. I am a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan!
I call this pic, ” when we were pregnant “.. coz it takes two to make parents.
Throughout my pregnancy journey I was pampered to bits by my doting hubby so much that at the end of this journey I got emotional about missing that phase and things which were never going to be the same again.
How life changed after it, for the better, is a completely different story 😊😊
I would take the opportunity to introduce Anjana Dhanavanthan who blogs at this address. You can check out her blog on the prompt for today.
